Best enjoyed as a V60 pour over or Chemex. Also excellent as a light espresso.
This coffee comes from the Kochere washing station in the Gedeo Zone of southern Ethiopia — the birthplace of Coffea arabica. The station processes cherries from over 600 smallholder farmers, each growing coffee on plots of less than 2 hectares.
The Yirgacheffe region sits at 1,700–2,200 metres above sea level. The altitude, combined with rich volcanic soil and the shade of native trees, creates ideal conditions for slow cherry development — which means more complex sugars and more nuanced flavours.
We've been working with this washing station since 2021. Our head roaster Marcus visits every harvest season to cup samples and select the best lots. This year's lot scored 97 on the SCA scale — one of the highest scores we've ever seen.

"The most floral coffee I've ever tasted. Brewed it as a V60 and it was like drinking jasmine tea with a hint of lemon. Absolutely stunning. Will be ordering again."
"I've been buying Yirgacheffe from various roasters for years. This is the best I've had. The freshness is unreal — you can tell it was roasted recently. The bergamot note is incredible."
"Subscribed to the fortnightly delivery and it's been a game changer. Fresh coffee every two weeks, and the quality is consistently exceptional. The 97 SCA score is well deserved."
