A Passion Born in Portland

RoastHaven was born from a singular obsession: the perfect cup. Founded in 2019 by Marcus Reid in Portland's Pearl District, we started as a small roastery with a single drum roaster and a dream to bring truly exceptional coffee to the Pacific Northwest.

Every bean we use is hand-selected from farms we visit personally. We cup hundreds of samples each season to find the ones worth roasting. Then we dial in every variable — temperature, airflow, time — until the roast is exactly right.

No shortcuts. No compromises. Just coffee the way it was meant to be.

2019

RoastHaven Opens

Founded by Marcus Reid in Portland's Pearl District with a single drum roaster and a vision to redefine specialty coffee.

2021

SCA Score 97

Our Ethiopian Yirgacheffe received a 97-point SCA score — one of the highest ever awarded to a Pacific Northwest roastery.

2023

Brew Bar Expansion

Opened our dedicated brew bar featuring V60, Chemex, Siphon, and Nitro Cold Brew stations — a playground for coffee lovers.

2025

4 Locations

Expanded to four locations across the Pacific Northwest, serving over 200,000 cups and counting.
